Our Vision
Our vision at Sport Zone is to run competitive non sanction baseball/softball tournaments in Cedar Rapids, IA and surrounding communities.. These tournaments will have a small town vibe with big city excitement. We feel that providing a place to be competitive during this developmental period will go a long way with building your sons/daughters confidence.
We want comparable skill level B to C and school feeder teams and programs. We will pride ourselves on making sure teams leave our tournament with lots of excitement to make them want to visit us again as well as some quality rewards. We will run tournaments mainly at Cubby Park in West Branch, IA.

What teams can count on is a well organized tournament with solid Umpires and great facilities. You’ll get great communication and flexible scheduling.
Teams will enjoy our awards and each game will have a game MVP. Finally if scheduling permits we will have a base running event and HR derby for all players who want to enter.

About Me
I was born and raised in Memphis Tennessee. Currently my wife and Nicki and I reside in Marion Iowa we have four beautiful children Avery,WIllie Dimia and Dayten. We also have three amazing dogs Polly, Bogie and Putter. I have been employed with the Cedar Rapids Community School District for 15+ years.
Sports has always been a passion of mine since my football playing days at the University of Iowa I’ve been officiating or coaching a number of sports. Those sports include football, basketball, soccer, baseball, and softball.
